Carolyn Kerner Stein is an intrepid traveler. She has circled the globe twice and recently returned from an expedition to Antarctica.
For 20 years, Carolyn was a caregiver for her husband with Parkinson’s Disease. During that time Carolyn became very active in numerous Parkinson’s support groups, and was interviewed by Neurology Now magazine and The Parkinsons Foundation.
Because she gained great insight into dealing with senior challenges, attitudes and disabilities, she was prompted to write her best selling book Suddenly A Senior, How Did It Happen So Soon? Through many interviews and with the help of many senior associations, she has focused on the problems and effects of senior isolation.
As past president of the Florida Speakers Association, she was awarded their Lifetime Achievement Award.
